Nicola Moore-Miller

Nicola Moore-Miller

Managing Director

Beginning with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, Nicola later gained Chartered Management Accountant status, an accreditation she maintains to this day.

As well as her enviable finance knowledge including an in-depth understanding of the complicated SRA Accounts Rules, Nicola’s got a keen awareness of how law firms operate across departments. She can guide and train employees of any role on how to better manage their workload and concentrate on client service.

Nicola’s experience is both within legal practice and in the legal software vendor arena, so she understands both sides of the coin.

As Managing Director of Jayva UK Ltd since our inception in 2014, Nicola’s been instrumental in leading our business through four years of incredibly rapid growth.

Married with two young children, Nicola is also a non-executive director for a local charity, a nursery and out-of-school club which provides care and education for children aged 4 to 11 in Gosforth, Cumbria. 

Nicola is also the owner and president of our sister company, Jayva US Inc, and is currently supporting the development of the US team at a very exciting time.

Kim Roberts


With a legal background spanning more than 20 years, Kim has widespread experience managing software projects varying from new IT installations to product upgrades including offering technical helpdesk support on a first, second and third line basis.

In the past, Kim has been heavily involved in software development by liaising with development teams and testing software releases prior to roll out. These skills make Kim ideally placed to advise clients on the most suitable IT solutions for their circumstances.

Kim is an incredibly pragmatic, natural problem solver. She is highly technical, but can communicate that information in a non-technical way making it relevant and understandable to her audience.

Outside of work, Kim volunteers as a stable hand at a riding school teaching young people how to ride horses.

Steve Curtis


Steve has worked in legal technology for nearly 20 years. His experience of managing software implementations, testing, training and coordinating development plans is vast.

Steve’s legal accounting and calm demeanour makes him an absolute hit with the legal cashiers we train. He talks their language, and has a patient and kind approach to delivering training and managing change effectively.

Steve has been with Jayva from the very start and with his analytical mind, he’s perfectly suited to the most complex of projects and data migration conundrums.

Steve volunteered as a business mentor for Cumbria Chamber of Commerce and loves living in the Lakes, taking in the beautiful scenery with his wife Josie, who is also part of the Jayva team.

Susan Rodgers


A results-orientated IT trainer, consultant and project manager with a solid background in IT service delivery, Susan has vast experience running large scale projects at all times managing expectations, risk and change. 

Having held IT-related roles for the past 18 years of her career, Susan works closely with law firms to ensure clients achieve the best return from their technology investment. Susan’s strong people skills mean she engages well with stakeholders at every level.

In her spare time, Susan’s interested in arts and culture, and volunteers at the Manchester International Festival both behind-the-scenes interviewing and training new volunteers, and front-of-house manning events.

Viona Retkowska

Accounts Trainer & Legal Cashier

Viona joined Jayva in 2016, and her bright and positive personality has brought a  smile to the team every single day. Viona has been a Legal Cashier since she left school, is ILFM qualified and has nearly two decades of hands-on experience working as a cashier. During that time, Viona was critical to the implementation of many different systems and software packages, and this personal experience makes Viona fully able to relate to the change which our clients face when implementing new systems.

Viona has a real attention to detail. Her knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules is exceptional, and in her training she always ensures she promotes best practice as well as compliance with the various regulators. 

In addition to her training and implementation consultancy responsibilities, Viona plays an important role in testing and documenting new features as well as supporting clients with their legal cashiering and month end reporting.


Josie Curtis

Implementation Consultant & Project Coordinator

Josie is the voice of Jayva.  When you ring the Jayva office, it's likely you'll speak to Josie. She is at the helm of our diary management and project coordination. Josie applies a methodical approach in everything she does. Her administrative excellence keeps Jayva ticking and she can always be relied upon to provide an update on any project at any time.

In addition to Josie’s project coordination responsibilities, she's also certified on Xero and LEAP Legal Software installation, so that she can assist us on the larger projects when the need arises. 

Married to Steve, Josie also enjoys the Lakes lifestyle, and sometimes gets the opportunity to work alongside Steve on the larger projects assisting with installation and Xero configuration.


Alison Brown

Purchase Ledger Assistant

Alison joined Jayva in 2016 as a Business Administration Apprentice. Alison aced her qualification in just one year, doing exceptionally well on her IT modules. As a mum of three young children whilst working full time and doing this qualification, we think she's pretty amazing!

We were lucky enough to ask Alison to stay on after her NVQ, and Alison has been working alongside Josie on the project coordination side now for some time. With the expansion of our business, a new role has developed managing the purchase ledger for our UK and US offices, which Alison now does 2 days a week.
